Sole focus: Optimal, Efficient and Comprehensive Clinical management of HIV/AIDS
India’s unparalleled contribution in transforming HIV/AIDS to a chronic manageable and affordable disease by virtue of its high-quality ARVs and low-cost patient-care skills is lauded globally. Free ART roll-out by the National AIDS Control Organisation all over India and even second-line ART at select centres in matured HIV epidemic necessitates review of strategies in care continuum. While the Government, medical caregivers, Pharma and NGOs are all making intense efforts to enhance access to care, ASI plays a pivotal role to strengthen its quality and implementation through scientific updates.
In the series of these ongoing efforts the ASI will host its 3rd National Conference – ASICON 2010 at Hyderabad. Renowned faculty of clinicians and researchers across the globe will share state-of-the-art knowledge, their insights, expertise and vision both in plenary and interactive sessions. The deliberations will be useful in enhancing our capacity to offer quality HIV care and help prioritizing researchable issues in India. It will provide an opportunity to review, reflect upon and look forward to emerging innovative approaches in care and will be a milestone offering invaluable opportunity to learn, share and care. After the successful ASICON 2009 in Jaipur, ASI already started with a chain of CMEs in different parts of India and will continue to be a front-runner in training health care providers. As per our promise to make it a truly national annual event, ASICON 2010 will be a unique opportunity for scientific update and a quality gathering of HIV care givers and researchers. It is the only official national conference of ASI and will be once again, one of the must attend HIV meets in India.
It is particularly fitting that the Conference will be held in the historic - yet modern, vibrant - yet hospitable city of Hyderabad, well known as the HiTech city after it has been the Information Technology capital of India! We request you to be part of this important event. Please block your dates for the 3rd National Conference of ASI - ASICON-2010. (Earlier it was scheduled for 19-21 March 2010; which we were compelled to postpone due to some prevailing unrest in Hyderabad)
