What is the incidence of needle stick injuries

If anybody has any data regarding the incidence of needle stick injuries amongst health care professionals ( especially in India) kindly post it on the forum. I would also be interested in knowing about faculty specific data i.e what is the incidence amongst general surgeons, orthopaedic surgeons, nurses, dental surgeons etc.

Any inputs would be greatly appreciated.

Very little Data is available in India.However 2 studies require a mention,AIIMS Study,2001 and the BJ Medical College,Pune study,2008.In addition Hinduja Hospital has gathered data over 5 years for their instituition.Sorry there is no break up of the injuries among different specialities
